On its part, the Jeddah-based Al-Madinah said King Abdullah who has ordered to receive at the Kingdom’s hospitals the injured Palestinians, to launch a campaign for collecting donations for the Palestinians in Gaza and announced a donation of $1 billion for the reconstruction of Gaza, is fully aware of his role towards the service of the Arab causes, notably the Palestinian cause. "By doing so, the King is actually speaking on behalf of the Saudi people and spelling out their feelings," it said. On the Kingdom’s economic situation, Al-Riyadh newspaper said Saudi Arabia tops the countries of the region as regards attracting the capitals or Arab investments.
