MOSCOW, May 07, SPA -- Dmitry Medvedev was inaugurated as Russia'sPresident on Wednesday, pledging to an audience in a vast,glittering Kremlin hall that he would strengthen theCountry's civil rights and push the economic developmentthat is transforming the country, the Associated Press reported. Medvedev took the oath of office in the Kremlin'sgolden-hued Andreyevsky Hall, bringing to an end VladimirPutin's eight years as president.
