Tikrit, Iraq, April 29, SPA -- A U.S. soldier was killed and fourwere wounded in a roadside bomb attack in Hawija, themilitary said Friday. The soldier, from One Task Force Liberty, was killed onThursday evening. The wounded soldiers were evacuated to acoalition medical facility and were in a stable condition,the military said in a statement. Hawija is 240 kilometers (150 miles) north of Baghdad. The name of the dead soldier was withheld pendingnotification of next of kin.
