Riyadh, Mar 29, SPA -- Saudi Newspapers editorially commented today on the future vision and call for self-corrective measures by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques during his opening address at the 19th Arab Summit to resolve the Arab nation's current and future challenges and bring about wise solutions for key Arab issues. "Al-Riyadh" newspaper said Riyadh's summit may represent a junction between despair and those who possess the best chances, and means. The paper said "What matters most is the great resolve to face challenges courageously and overcome retreat, as well as admission of the wrong acts. This is demanded by historic honesty. We are not ashamed to assess our history and current circumstances." It stressed that representatives of Islamic and International organizations who attended this summit are witnesses for history. The paper noted that when the world is changing for the better, we are still sticking to the past as better than the future. Al-Riyadh cautioned: " If we do not face this truth at this summit, that's to abide by its results and consider it a basis for a better future, then despair will prevail and this will be a serious and difficult situation. It indicated that peace is an Arab choice and the world sees it as an outlet to create more applicable chances, since this is the first time sincere people consider it as a positive initiative. The paper concluded: " This in fact demonstrates that we are able to propose initiatives suitable for all tense atmospheres in Arab countries." -- More www.spa.gov.sa/436504
