Cairo, Jan 17, SPA -- Arab League's Secretary General Amr Mousa has criticized the intervention of the Israeli authorities in the Palestinian elections in al-Quds, and said this intervention constitutes a form of forgery for democracy which Israel alleges that it is the only country in the region that has been practicing it. Commenting on the reports which said that Israel was planning to exclude Hamas Organization from participation in the elections, Mousa said participation of Arabs of East Jerusalem in the elections is their right, and no party has the right to deprive them that right. In a press statement published here today, Mousa called for enhancing security in the Palestinian territories.
