On the volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China, Kejian said it amounted to $14.5 billion in the past 11 months of 2005. This figure constitutes an increase of about 59 percent compared to the same period in 2004. The Kingdom exports to China oil, chemical fertilizers and raw materials for the chemical industries, while China exports to the Kingdom textiles, products of light industries, grains and oils. In 2004 China imported from the Kingdom over 17 million ton of crude oil, which amounted to 13.8 percent of China's crude oil imports. Kejian hoped that the volume of trade exchange between the Two countries would be doubled, noting that the Chinese big companies and establishments are keen on cooperation with their counterparts in the Kingdom in the fields of petrochemicals, natural gas and power generation, water desalination, transport, telecommucnaitons and electronics.--SPA 13 01 Local Time 10 01 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/320417
