New Delhi, Dec 28, SPA -- Suspected separatist rebels sprayedgunfire on a group of Indian security personnel during anambush in a remote northeastern state Tuesday, killing 15of them, police said. The attack occurred while security forces in two vehicleswere escorting some road workers in Hukumbari, a village 80kilometers (50 miles) south of Agartala, the capital ofTripura state, said Nepal Das, superintendent of police inTripura. At least one rebel was killed in retaliatory fire bymembers of the Territorial Army, Das said when contacted byphone.
