SRINAGAR, Oct 20, SPA -- Gunmen burst into the home of aformer rebel in Jammu-Kashmir on Wednesday, killing hisbrother and wife, while a villager was fatally shot incrossfire during a gun battle between rebels andparamilitary soldiers, police said. The unidentified villager was killed in Dooru, about 60kilometers (37 miles) north of Srinagar, the summer capitalof the Indian-controlled portion of Jammu-Kashmir, asrebels and soldiers fired at each other, said a policeofficer on condition of anonymity.
