BUJUMBURA, Burundi, Aug 17, SPA -- The United Nations has suspended talks with Burundian rebels who claimed responsibility for the massacre of at least 160 Congolese refugees at aU.N.-run camp, a spokeswoman for the organization saidTuesday. The U.N. had been brokering peace talks between Burundi'sgovernment and the National Liberation Forces _ the lastrebel group still fighting in the country's 11-year-oldcivil war, said Isabelle Abric. "The negotiations have been suspended because they areclaiming responsibility for the attack" in which CongoleseTutsi refugees were shot, hacked, stabbed and burned todeath, Abric told The Associated Press. "It seems they arenot willing to contribute to the peace process."--SPA1353 Local Time 1053 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/192675
