Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Makes an Exceptional Progress in Information Technology

Riyadh, June 05, 2022, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international levels. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made an exceptional progress in information technology sector, which included all aspects of public life, whether at the level of individuals, private sector or state institutions. Such unprecedented progress confirms that Saudi Arabia is firmly moving forward in achieving the key goals of its vision 2030, the paper said. Saudi Arabia has exerted great efforts in supporting and encouraging the male and female youths to be able in promoting the modern innovations, the paper added. In this regard, Saudi Arabia achieved a number of regional and international awards and certificates of excellence during the World Summit on the Information Society Forum 2022 (WSIS 2022), the paper further added. The paper concluded that Saudi Arabia's achievement of major awards and certificates of excellence during the World Summit on the Information Society Forum 2022 (WSIS 2022) reflect the success of the National Transformation Program, which was launched in 2017. In another context, Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the first pilgrims group coming from Indonesia arrived at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International airport in Madinah to perform this year's Hajj 1443 AH. The flight which was carrying 358 female and male pilgrims, was received by Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Bijawe, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for Visit Affairs, Indonesian ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Abdulaziz Ahmed and a number of officials, the paper said. The pilgrims were greeted and offered rose bouquets, varieties of fine dates and bottles of Zamzam drinking water, the paper added.
