Riyadh, May 30, 2022, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international levels. Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made unprecedented successes in combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, in addition to its effective contribution to strengthening international efforts and leading initiatives in supporting the collective efforts in this regard. Among these initiatives, its contribution to establishment of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre (UNCCT) and providing it with generous support, chairing its advisory board, supporting capacity-building of Member States in their measures to implement the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, the paper said. Saudi Arabia affirmed its keenness on supporting the international efforts to eradicate the scourge of terrorism which targets the security and safety of countries and the stability of the world, the paper added. Saudi Arabia was internationally appreciated and recognized due to its successes and firm positions towards the most important cause in the world, in addition to its great role in coordination with the competent UN agencies, as well as the countries, bodies and organizations, the paper further added.
