Brussels, March 30, 2022, SPA -- The European Parliament condemned recent attacks by the Houthi militia on civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, including the attack on March 25, 2022, which targeted the Aramco facility in Jeddah, and attacks on a fuel tank storage facility near Abu Dhabi airport in January 2022, which resulted in the death of three people. In a statement issued today, the Chair of the Delegation for Relations to the Arabian Peninsula (DARP) at the European Parliament, Hannah Neumann, expressed the DARP's condemnation of these attacks, stressing that the recent attacks fuel the conflict in Yemen and undermine the ongoing efforts to end the war. In this regard, Neumann welcomed the recent announcement by the Saudi-led Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen of a unilateral ceasefire to facilitate peacemaking efforts during the holy month of Ramadan. --SPA 20:11 LOCAL TIME 17:11 GMT 0033 www.spa.gov.sa/w1714811
