Riyadh, Dec. 28, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is exerting unprecedented efforts in confronting all forms of climate change locally, regionally and internationally. Saudi Arabia's efforts in this field have always been appreciated by the world and praised by international organizations, which considered these efforts "exceptional" and should be an international model to be followed, the paper said. In this regard, HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced, last March, launching the Green Middle East Initiative, which seeks to plant 40 billion trees throughout the region and reduce carbon emissions by 60 percent, the paper added.
