Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Exerts Unprecedented Efforts At All Levels to End Crisis in Yemen

Riyadh, March 27, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is exerting unprecedented efforts at all levels to end the crisis in Yemen. The Iranian regime and the Houthi militia do not want an end to the crisis in Yemen, endangering the safety of its people and territories, as they are continuously committing murder and torture crimes against Yemeni people, the paper added. Despite Saudi Arabia’s initiative to end the Yemeni crisis and reach a comprehensive political solution, the Houthi terrorist militia is continuing in committing war crimes against Yemenis, in addition to targeting civilians and civilian objects in Saudi Arabia, along with energy supplies and the global economy, the paper further added. The attacks on the petroleum products distribution terminal in Jazan in the past two days and Riyadh oil refinery before with bomb-laden UAVs represent a flagrant violation of customary international and humanitarian law, the paper concluded. In other context, Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the welfare of the citizen and the quality of life in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are key goals of its vision 2030 and transformation and development projects. Such goals are among the priorities that being provided with unremitting support by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and HRH the Crown Prince, the paper added. In this regard, Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA), launched the (Digital Identity) project through the “Tawakkalna” application. It includes (the national identity for Saudis and a resident ID for residents) to enable its official use as an electronic proof, aiming at digitizing government identification documents, the paper further added .
