Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Exerts Efforts at Local and International Levels to Confront COVID-19 Impacts

Riyadh, May 16, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, is exerting great efforts, whether at the local or international levels, to overcome the impacts of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The paper added that such unprecedented efforts and services have effectively contributed to detecting new cases and providing them with necessary care as soon as possible. The paper concluded that the great efforts and services being provided by all state agencies committees have also contributed to reducing the death rate compared to the global rate. Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has affirmed its ability to confront the implications of COVID-19 by taking precautionary and preventive measures, as well as additional measures to prevent the virus outbreak and reduce its economic, health and social impacts . The paper added that emanating from Saudi Arabia's G20 presidency and through the virtual summit chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the follow-up of HRH Crown Prince, it was efficiently able to unify efforts to confront the impacts caused by the pandemic.
