For his part, French Foreign Minister described his country's strong relations with Saudi Arabia as strategic. He said: "We are serious to defeat terrorism and bring about peace to the region and all over the world. We know that our countries are threatened and vulnerable to terrorism, and for us the war on terrorism is foremost on Daesh and Al Qaeda. I mentioned that there is need to cooperate in the fight against extremism, and this is what Saudi Arabia and France are doing, but we have to best coordinate the matter at the international level. We must catch on the terrorist networks which exist behind the curtains, and work well on to dry up the sources of terrorism in the framework of the international coalition, and coordinate co-chaired work with Saudi Arabia. This team is doing an excellent job, and there is a great convergence of views on a wide range of topics. " The French minister stressed the importance of liberation of Mosul, saying that it's a stronghold of Daesh, encouraging to continue the war after that to reach to Ar Riqqa in Syria, stressing the need for political solutions which include all the parties concerned to put an end for Daesh. Regarding Syria, he said: "We know the terrible and tragic situation, and hundreds of thousands of deaths and millions of refugees and displaced people and devastated country, we are making the effort to reach a permanent cease-fire and open humanitarian access to the population who suffer and then reach a political solution. We share the same vision and is working on the basis of the Geneva declaration of 2012 and the resolution 2254 of the Security Council, which should be the basis of the political transition, and we wish success to the meeting in Astana at least on the issue of priority which is a real cessation of military operations. " Regarding to Yemen, he stressed his country's support for the efforts of the United Nations and said that his country pays special attention to a political solution, pointing out that the only way is to strike political dialogue as soon as possible, without forgetting the humanitarian situation. On the Palestinian cause, he said: "We thanked Saudi Arabia for their participation in the recent conference on the peace process. The final declaration allowed to re-emphasize the importance of the Arab peace initiative launched by Saudi Arabia in 2002. There is no solution of peace without the establishment of a Palestinian state living in peace and security alongside Israel, and this would happen only through negotiation between the parties. By organizing this conference in Paris, we wanted to recall necessarily and urgently for guaranteeing a violence-free Europe and stress that there is need to resume the negotiations on the 67 parallels with Al-Quds as the capital the Palestinian state. " He pointed out that the relationship with Saudi Arabia has an economic dimension, a solid relationship, deeming Saudi Arabia as first economic partner of France in the region, and in the first ten months of 2016, his country's exports increased by 20% from 2015, drawing attention to a contract for the purchase of Airbus planes. --More 22:07 LOCAL TIME 19:07 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w319051
