Manama, Dhu-AlHijjah 14, 1437, Sep 15, 2016, SPA -- The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed deep concern over the issuance of the US Congress a legislation named Justice Law against Sponsors of Terrorism, in a manner inconsistent with the Charter of the United Nations and the principles of international law. Kingdom of Bahrain considered the step, in a statement transmitted by Bahrain News Agency, as contrary to the foundations of international relations based on the principles of sovereign equality and immunity of states, mutual respect and non-imposition of the domestic laws of any country on other countries. It emphasized that the issuance of such a law, which constitutes a dangerous precedent, provided its application, in the relations between nations, as it would pose threat to the stability of the international system, have significant global economic damage and contain emitters of chaos and instability, in international trade. Bahrain expressed hope that the United States would not endorse this legislation, which will give other countries the opportunity to issue similar laws, which would negatively affect the concerted international endeavors orchestrated to fight terrorism. -- SPA 02:54 LOCAL TIME 23:54 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
