They also discussed the latest developments in Yemen, the great efforts being exerted by the Saudi-led coalition in response to the appeal of the Yemeni legitimate government to defend the brotherly people of Yemen and protect its security and stability, in addition to providing humanitarian support to assist the Yemeni people in overcoming their crisis. Bolstering international support for Jordan in its efforts related to receiving Syrian refugees, bearing their burdens and Jordan's humanitarian efforts in this regard was stressed. The two sides stressed the importance of Iraq's unity, security and the need to involve all of its people's components in the political process to be one hand in the defense of its soil, building its institutions and preserving its independence. The two sides also stressed their firm rejection of Iran's attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of the Arab countries, which aim to destabilize the security and stability in them, and which are contrary to all international norms and conventions. They stressed that the principles of good neighborliness require moving away from intervention in the affairs of Arab countries and attempts of hegemony. The two sides also stressed the importance of making progress in the peace process on the basis of the Arab peace initiative and international legitimacy resolutions to achieve the aspirations of the Palestinian people in obtaining their legitimate rights to establish their independent state with full sovereignty.
