WASHINGTON, Dhu-AlHijjah 2, 1436, Sep 16, 2015, SPA -- U.S. forecasters said Wednesday that a new tropical depression has formed far from land in the central Atlantic Ocean. According to the National Hurricane Center, the storm was roughly 1,955 kilometers east of the Lesser Antilles and 2,044 kilometers west of the Cape Verde Islands, with maximum sustained winds near 48 kilometers per hour (kph). The depression was moving north-northwest at near 13 kph, and expected to continue moving in that direction through Thursday.
