Miami, Shawwal 7, 1436, Jul 23, 2015, SPA -- A new tropical depression has formed over the open waters of the Pacific Ocean, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said Thursday, but it is not an immediate threat to land. According to the hurricane center, the depression's maximum sustained winds were near 55 kilometers per hour (kph) with little change in strength expected through Friday. The depression is expected to weaken to a remnant low late Friday. The depression was centered roughly 690 kilometers southwest of the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California peninsula and was moving north-northwest near 15 kph. --SPA 21:28 LOCAL TIME 18:28 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
