Joint statement issued at conclusion of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' visit to China 2

The two sides agreed that the relations between the People's Republic of China and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are to be at forefront of their foreign relations. They agreed a continuation of intensifying visits among the leaderships and officials and consultation at all levels. They agreed to exchange views regarding issues of common interest in the service of the mutual interests. The People's Republic of China stressed its support for all the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's policies in order to maintain stability in the region. China supports the positive role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the regional and international affairs. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stressed once again its steadfast commitment regarding One China Policy. The two sides committed to "Doha Declaration" of China-Arab Cooperation Forum issued in May 2016 which stressed the need to respect the right enjoyed by the sovereign states and the States Parties of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea in choosing the ways of settling disputes with independent will.
