For his part, the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Faleh said that the ministry included a number of industrial, mineral and energy sectors, along with important bodies to complete the added value of scientific research and the empowerment of knowledge through King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy with sectors related to infrastructure such as the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu. He added that the restructuring of the Ministry is an actual translation of the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, noting that the Ministry aims, through the national transformation program to develop the working based on the principle of sustainability for the sectors of energy, industry and mineral resources with all its various stages, such as the stage of value for these sectors to achieve higher added value for the national economy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by increasing the gross domestic product (GDP), generating jobs and availability of many investment opportunities. He also revealed the existence of more than 130 initiatives to be financed mostly by the private sector at an estimated cost of more than SR 103 billion until 2020, stating that Aramco has, through partnership, signed a number of agreements with international companies for the completion of the World Marine Industries and Services Complex, which will directly and indirectly provide 80,000 jobs in the medium term, and ceasing imports worth 12 billion dollars a year, which is considered a very strong indication of the success of the national transformation program. --More 13:49 LOCAL TIME 10:49 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
