Makkah, Jumada I 6, 1436, Feb 25, 2015, SPA -- The International Conference "Islam and the Fight against Terrorism" was concluded today. The conference was inaugurated on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud by Prince Khalid al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, on Sunday at the headquarters of the Muslim World League in Makkah. The conference issued the Makkah Declaration which stated, "In the birthplace of Revelation and in the starting point of the Message, Makkah, Islamic scholars and thinkers came from different continents of the world at the invitation of Muslim World League for the International Conference "Islam and the Fight against Terrorism" which was held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to discuss terrorism: its definition, diagnosis of its causes, protection of the nation from its effects, and explanation of its consequences after it grew and its danger became great as it distorted the image of Islam and its way and course and because of it, protected lives were taken; tendencies of sectarian, ethnic and religious division caprices rose; and enemies gathered around the Muslim Ummah targeting its identity, unity and resources. --More 16:02 LOCAL TIME 13:02 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
