For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj Hatem Gadhi said all pilgrims have safely arrived in Makkah by the seventh day of Zul-Hijja corresponding to October 2, 2014. He said the Ministry of Hajj, which is the authority concerned of making the camps ready for pilgrims, has already fulfilled its job after having equipped all tents and camps with the necessary facilities, including water, electricity, accommodation, refrigeration, air-conditioning and gas pipes. Col. Sami Al-Shuwairekh, the Commander of Illumination and Information, said his department's job is facilitate the movement of pilgrims from place to place in addition to security, humanitarian and guiding services and to drawing a free zone between pedestrians and passengers to confirm the flow of traffic and service to Mina. He added that his department also works to prevent illegal pilgrims from entering the sacred places.
