For his part, Dr. Khalid Al-Habashi, spokesman of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA), the authority recruited for this Hajj season 3,710 doctors, technicians and ambulance specialists working on 477 vehicles where 200 ambulances are equipped, for the first time, with intensive care units for dealing with critical situations as well as 75 specialized teams of rapid intervention teams and motorcycles. He added that there are 19 electric cars at the terminals of the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah. Dr. Al-Habashi said that the air ambulance implemented 49 flights for transferring 47 injured pilgrims to the Ministry of Health's hospitals. He stressed that the SCRA allocated 6 planes in the holy sites and 7 planes in the areas around Makkah and Madinah.
