Cairo, December 25, 2018, SPA -- President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt received here today Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who is currently visiting Egypt. At the outset of the reception, the President of Egypt welcomed the Speaker of the Shura Council and sent his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, affirming the Egyptian-Saudi solid relations. President Al-Sisi hailed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's appreciated stances towards Egypt at all levels, asserting that these positions reflect the deep-rooted and historic bonds in addition to the strong strategic alliance between the two countries. He stressed the importance of upgrading popular channels of communication between the two sides at the parliamentary level. For his part, the Speaker of Shura Council conveyed greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince, affirming the pride of the two leaderships and peoples. Al Al-Sheikh added that the Kingdom is keen to strengthen cooperation with Egypt at all levels and coordination with them periodically on various issues of common interest. The Speaker of Shura Council lauded the Egyptian great efforts to support development, economy and giant projects in all different parts of Egypt, lauding the Egyptian role supporting security and stability in the Arab region. During the meeting, the Speaker of Shura Council reviewed with the President of Egypt a number of issues of common interest and the latest developments at the Arab and Islamic arenas.
