Arab Foreign Ministers Reject any Military Intervention in Libya 2 Cairo

The Council called on Member States to provide political, moral and material support for the Libyan Government of National Reconciliation as the only legitimate Libyan government, refrain from communicating with any other parallel executive bodies, welcoming the Presidential Council delegating candidates as ministers of the government of national reconciliation until adopting a new government by the House of Representatives, and performance of the legal oath-taking. The Council also called for urgent help to Libya to activate and rehabilitate the security, military and civil institutions and provide them with expertise and tools in the areas controlled by the Presidential Council of the Government of National Reconciliation to undertake urgent national responsibilities. The Council requested the Secretary-General of the Arab League to continue his contacts and consultations with the representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations to Libya with various Libyan parties and the Libyan neighboring countries in order to overcome the difficulties that are still encountered in the implementation of the Libyan political agreement, renewed commitment to respect the unity and sovereignty of Libya and its territorial integrity and protect its citizens and maintain its political independence. -- SPA 02:32 LOCAL TIME 23:32 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
