The council's resolution stressed that relations of cooperation between the Arab countries and Iran should be based on the principle of good neighborhood, ensuring stability and security of the neighboring countries and refraining from interfering in their internal affairs. The council instructed the Arab League Secretary General to communicate with the foreign ministers of the UAE, Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt to follow up the developments of the crisis with Iran, explore ways to deal with the Iranian interference in the internal affairs of the Arab countries and report the findings to the next session of the Arab League Ministerial Council. The council called on the Arab League Secretary General to convey this decision to the UN Secretary General and to the President of the UN Security Council as well. It also called on Egypt, in its capacity as the Arab member of the UN Security Council, to follow up this issue. The council explained that Lebanon abstained from voting on this resolution. --SPA 00:46 LOCAL TIME 21:46 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
