Geneva, Sha'aban 30, 1436, 17, 2015, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia confirmed its keenness to protect women's rights through issuance of a number of regulations and legislations. In his speech before the Human Rights Council in Geneva in the interactive dialogue with the UN's Rapporteur on Violence against women Rashida Manjoo, Saudi Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Faisal bin Hassan Trad said that the Government of Saudi Arabia established 64 centers for protecting against violence in all provinces inside the healthy facilities. "The Saudi government also established 17 committees for the social protection in a number of provinces. Their mission is to receive complaints about the victims of moral and physical abuses," he said. Trad added that the Saudi government established a hotline for receiving abuse cases from all parts of the Kingdom, stressing that the regulations state "implementing a prison sentence and a fine or both against anyone proved guilty of this offense." --SPA 21:01 LOCAL TIME 18:01 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
