As for the prize of alternative water resources, it was won by Dr. Rong Wang and Dr. Anthony G. Fane from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The prize was awarded to this team for having developed and applied unique experiences of the membranes of the front osmosis with hollow fibers, as the work of this team combines between the front osmosis and reverse osmosis with the addition of a new outer layer that is previously undiscovered for a very delicate filtering and charged positively.
