The history of US-Saudi relations have had many important stations which are considered as a key factor in supporting the relations between the two countries, including the visit paid by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on April 11, 2012, to the United States - when he was then Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense at an invitation from former US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, during which he met US President Barack Obama and discussed the strengthening of relations between the two countries, especially in the joint military and strategy area.
