On the issue of the liberation of Mosul, the Turkish Foreign Minister said that the liberation of Mosul must be carried out by local forces in Iraq and the people of Mosul. On the same issue, Al-Jubeir said, "The problem in Iraq is sectarian, and the importance of involving all the components of Iraq and the religious and ethnic communities in decision-making to feel that the Iraqi government represents them, without exception," stressing that what is happening in Iraq now is that Iraqis are not being involved in decision-making, which Iraq lacks, noting that there was an understanding among Iraqis in 2014 regarding the application of reforms to ensure the participation of all Iraqi communities in the central Iraqi government and these reforms have not been implemented yet, and this is the basis of the problems faced by our brothers in Iraq. He pointed out that Alhashd Alshaabi is a sectarian militia organization with affiliation to Iran, causing problems and divisions and has committed ethnic crimes against civilians in different places in Iraq, and its entry in Mosul will cause humanitarian disasters, because when these militias entered Fallujah, they committed enormous crimes, resulting in the existence of mass graves and attacks on public houses and families and the killing of innocent people, adding to the sectarian crisis in Iraq, noting that it is better for Iraq to use the national army and the people of the areas and elements which are not affiliated to Iran or are known for militant sectarianism; this is if it wants to face the terrorism of Daesh and avoid bloodshed and inflaming sectarianism among the brothers in Iraq. Al-Jubeir explained that when the kingdom's relationship with Russia is better, there will be more interaction between us and them and give and take, hoping that there will be more benefit from Russia in solving the problem in Syria, so we see there is a reduction in tension between Turkey and Russia, and we hope that this will be an opening of a door to dialogue without emotions, and the kingdom does not cast doubt on the intentions and the position of Turkey in Syria since they deal in the same way and the vision which we have, so we hope for improvement of relations between Russia and Turkey, which contributes to solving this crisis in Syria, and we do not see it as a matter of concern at all. The Turkish minister said that Turkey is working to normalize relations with Russia and this does not mean that Turkey will change its attitude toward the issues in Syria. Al-Jubeir indicated that the GCC countries and Turkey's positions on Syria are very good as the Syrian crisis was discussed as well as considering how to move and deal with it, either through existing international groups or in other ways and consultation is still going on. The Turkish minister said that there are joint cooperation and agreement and criticized the veto on Syria adding that Assad regime must be changed. --SPA 22:47 LOCAL TIME 19:47 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
