In 2009, the news agency's developed website was launched, allowing a visitor to browse SPA's services from his/her mobile. In the same year, it added the SMS service as well as RSS which enables the user to get the news he wants according to an advanced classification system. Furthermore, the services of the latest five important news, a news briefing, the latest photographed news. It also added the new media service which provides SPA internet navigators on twitter, face book, Anstigram, snap chat with its selected news of interest to the world. The national news agency's website also provides its visitors with activating services which add a dynamic characteristic to the site, including Cabinet sessions, current and past, royal decrees, an account on the Kingdom's administrative regions, the two holy mosques and the sacred places etc. Until recently, SPA was using the News wiz automatic program to run its editing work for its different divisions. This program was upgraded under the title News Wiz 2 multimedia, using the web 2 technology in editing the news. However, the most important development in SPA's digital march was the dedication of its website by His Excellency the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Commission of SPA in the late first quarter of the current year 1437 H.
