Riyadh, Safar 05, 1437, November 17, 2015, SPA -- The two governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Japan both believe that promotion of human skills is the core of development, thus forming a common base for the two countries' educational, scientific and cultural exchanges since the commence of diplomatic relations between them. This notion was highlighted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud during his official visit to Japan while he was then the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince, saying that the Japanese example is impressive and inspiring to development-seeking countries. Emanating from this, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Japan have been tied with numerous agreements and memorandums of understanding aiming to enhance cultural and scientific exchanges, most notably a MoU on cooperation between the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, Sports and Technology of Japan in 2010, agreement between Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz University and University of Kyoto on implanting medical odorous plants, agreement between the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage and the Japanese University of Kanazawa on cooperation in the field of antiquities excavation, and the agreement between the University of Al-Baha and the Japanese Osaka Institute for Technology on cooperation in the field of civil and environmental engineering. --More 14:57 LOCAL TIME 11:57 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
