In a speech before the conference, President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi of the Republic of Yemen described the conference as important and extraordinary as it comes in light of very complex and dangerous circumstances as well as the challenges and great difficulties engulfing our people following the coup and the subsequent brutal and barbaric events carried out by Houthi militias and Saleh, which started in the 21st of September 2014, resulting in the occupation of the capital Sanaa, the bombing of the presidential palace in Aden, the attempted assassination of the president many times, control by force of arms of various state institutions, and the unprecedented looting and damage of all cities and village of our country. President Hadi explained that the launch of Riyadh conference in this historic moment under the title "saving of Yemen and building of federal State" is of exceptionally great importance as it is considered the most prominent political station in the aftermath of the coup.
