Belgrade, Ramadan 16, 1435, Jul 13, 2014, SPA -- Slovenians were voting Sunday in snap parliamentary elections, dpa reported. Miro Cerar launched the eponymous, centre-left Spranka Miro Cerar (SMC) party on June 2. The Mediana polling firm forecasts it could win with close to 40 per cent of the votes. Only 30 months after the country's last snap polls, early elections were called when outgoing Prime Minister Alenka Bratusek resigned from the leadership of her ruling Positive Slovenia party (PS) in April, following a power struggle within the party. She has now formed her own party, the Alliance Alenka Bratusek, which is fighting to win at least 4 per cent of the votes so it can qualify for the parliament. About 1.7 million people are eligible to vote in the EU member country. --SPA 18:05 LOCAL TIME 15:05 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
