MOGADISHU, Somalia, June 17, SPA -- Somali police and witnesses say fighting has killed Mogadishu's police chief and at least seven others. Police spokesman Col. Abdulahi Hassan Barise confirmed thedeath of police chief Col. Ali Saed on Wednesday, according to a report of The Associated Press. He had no further details.
