The two countries welcomed the participation of Saudi Aramco with Malaysian Petronas company to develop and possess an integrated giant complex for refining and petrochemicals in Malaysian Johor state which would contribute significantly to supporting the economic partnership between the two countries over the long term and enhancing cooperation between them in the field of energy. The two countries signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of scientific and educational cooperation, which would pave the way for further cooperation in the areas of exchange of knowledge, experience and technology transfer. The two countries also signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of labor and human resources that would intensify training programs and exchange expertise in areas of safety, occupational health, information and statistics related to the labor markets in the two countries. The two countries signed two memorandums of understanding in the field of trade and investment cooperation, and in the field of cooperation between Saudi Press Agency (SPA) and Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama). The two sides discussed a number of issues topped by issues of concern to the Islamic nation. There was complete agreement on the need to intensify and unify the efforts of the Islamic world to confront extremism, renounce sectarianism and advance the Islamic world toward a better future in the framework of the objectives and goals of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and seek for achievement of international peace and security.
