The two sides praised the strong Saudi-Jordanian relations and their growth at all levels, and the outcome of the meetings of Saudi-Jordanian Coordinating Council and Joint Jordanian-Saudi Committee that ensure the development of these relations and serve the common interests of the two countries and their peoples. A number of agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed to enhance relations between the two countries. The two sides discussed the current situation in the Arab world, especially the Palestinian issue and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and their right to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Quds as its capital, in accordance with the Arab peace initiative and the resolutions of international legitimacy. The two sides expressed their sincere desire to gather the word and unite the Arab and Islamic world, and their efforts to work towards strengthening the brotherly ties between the Arab and Islamic countries and to enhance communication among them in various fields and at all levels, wishing success to the 28th Arab Summit to be held in Jordan. The two sides also expressed their deep concern at the growing threat of extremism, terrorism and violence against security and peace in the region and around the world, stressing their support for international efforts to combat extremism and terrorism.
