5. The GCC Ministerial Council expressed its deep concern over the US Congress' approval of a legislation called (Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act), which is contrary to fixed principles of the international law, especially the principle of the sovereign equality of States enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, stressing that the Gulf Cooperation Council considers this US Act as inconsistent with foundations and principles of relations among states, as well as with the principle of sovereign immunity being enjoyed by the states, which is enshrined in the international laws and norms, and the breach of this principle will have negative repercussions on relations among countries, including the United States of America, in addition to its possible global economic damages. 6. The Council reiterated the firm positions of GCC member states towards terrorism and extremism, rejection of all their forms and manifestations, refusal of their motives and justifications whatever their sources, and working to dry the sources of their financing, with their absolute commitment to fight extremist ideology upon which terrorist groups are based and fed thereof, in order to distort the Islamic religion. 7. The Council strongly condemned the suicide bombings that took place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the last holy month of Ramadan near the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, Qatif governorate and Jeddah city, describing these terrorist bombings as appalling crimes which are contrary to all human and moral values and principles, stressing that the Council's member countries stand by and support all measures that may be taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to protect its security and stability and maintain the security and safety of visitors to the holy sites, expressing confidence in the efficiency and capacity of the relevant security agencies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to uncover the circumstances of these heinous terrorist crimes and punish their perpetrators and whoever stands behind them. --More 12:24 LOCAL TIME 09:24 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
