Miami, Sha'ban 30, 1436, Jun 17, 2015, SPA -- After being downgraded from a hurricane, Tropical Storm Carlos is rapidly weakening in the Pacific Ocean near the coast of western Mexico. On Wednesday, the storm was about 18 kilometers south of Playa Perula and about 125 kilometers south-southeast of Cabo Corrientes. It had maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour (kph) and was moving north-northwest at 15 kph, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) reported. Carlos is expected to continue weakening Wednesday into Thursday and is likely to dissipate Friday, NHC forecasters said.
