Miami, Sha'ban 25, 1436, Jun 12, 2015, SPA -- Tropical Storm Carlos formed over the Pacific Ocean off the southern coast of Mexico on Thursday and was expected to gain strength in the coming days, the Miami-based National Hurricane Center (NHC) said. Carlos is expected to generate heavy rain and strong swells during the next few days as it moves northward parallel to the Mexican coast. The heavy rain is expected to fall primarily over the southern states of Oaxaca and Guerrero, the NHC said. The storm had maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour Thursday and was centered about 370 kilometers south of the beach resort of Acapulco.
