The Minister of Foreign Affairs said: "I briefed Kerry on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's thinking that there would be a cease-fire for a period of five days in Yemen in order to coordinate with international organizations for delivery of relief aid to the brothers in Yemen if the Houthis and their allies commit to this and do not carry out acts of aggression during this period. The actual date will be announced shortly as well as the requirements." Al-Jubeir added that he briefed the US Secretary of State on the big step ordered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques regarding correcting the illegal residence status of Yemeni expatriates in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which may include two or three million Yemenis in the Kingdom and allow them to find work in order to help their families and brothers in Yemen, "this is the opposite of what the other countries do through expelling illegal residents or if they are refugees, they put them in refugee camps. But the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is keen on the interests, position and dignity of the Yemeni brothers both in Yemen or in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. So, the Kingdom, upon directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has taken this big and unprecedented move in the history of the world," Al-Jubeir added. --More 18:09 LOCAL TIME 15:09 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
