Riyadh, Rajab 26, 1435, May 25, 2014, SPA -- The 33rd anniversary of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Arab States marks today after its launch in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on May 25, 1981. On this day of May 1981, a new dawn was breaking on the GCC region and its peoples when the leaders of the GCC member countries including Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman have translated a dream that obsessed the imagination of their peoples for a long time, into a reality through the issuance of their historical decision by the announcement of the establishment of the GCC, which was taken under logical and natural considerations necessitated the fulfillment of the dream and the translation of the obsession on the ground. The dream of unity among the GCC region's leaders and peoples in terms of the common historical, social and economic features that brought them together, and the customs and traditions that bound together while the economic, political and security dimensions are considered as the natural outcome of all these features and components.
