Cairo, Sha'ban 06, 1436, May 24, 2015, SPA -- Concluding their two-day second meeting in Cairo today, Arab Chiefs of Staff agreed to form a joint Arab force paving the way to the adoption of the force's relevant protocol, so as to forward it to the troika of the Arab Summit presidency (Kuwait, Egypt and Morocco) to be presented later to the Joint Arab Defense Council. The Secretary-General of the Arab League Dr. Nabil El-Araby said in a press release at the conclusion of the meeting, that the Arab chiefs of general staff have decided to go-ahead with forming a joint Arab force, given the strategic dimensions related to the present and future of the Arab region, the challenges facing the Arab national security, the importance of preserving the sovereignty and independence of the member states and integrity of national and territorial integrity.
