GCC Culture Ministers Call for Combating Terrorist Thought and Promoting Gulf Affiliation

Kuwait, Dhu-AlHijjah 22, 1435, October 16, 2014, SPA -- The Ministers of Culture of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Arab States approved in their 20th meeting concluded here today the proposal submitted by the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohiuddin Khoja on employing tools of culture in combating the thought of terrorism and extremism, and revealing its threat to members of the GCC society. The ministers stressed the need to strengthen the Gulf identity and consolidate citizenship among members of society, through coordination with the competent media for making programs on this subject, holding cultural and intellectual symposiums, and organizing exhibitions and documentary films to supports the idea of affiliation among the GCC states. This came in recommendations issued by the GCC Ministers of Culture in Kuwait today. The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohiuddin Khoja headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meeting.
